Training Announcement
Developing Training Programs
April 25-29, 2011 Sarasota County Sheriffs Office
This 5-day course will help new and experienced instructors develop communications training programs that meet and exceed state and national standards. Build a new training program from scratch, or take your current program to the next level. Attendees will learn to develop narrative lesson plans, instructional unit outlines, master course schedules, practical exercises, performance and written examinations, student reference text, and other materials to build solid, fully documented, and legally defensible training programs. Following the techniques taught during this class, students will be able to create programs that meet and exceed standards required by Florida statute 401.465 and APCO International’s Recommended Minimum Training Standards for Public Safety Telecommunicators. Excel 9-1-1 instructors are dedicated, experienced instructors with extensive backgrounds in emergency communications, curriculum design, and training program administration.
